Pharus is an application for spiritual growth operated by Mica Go Store LLC, a Texas limited liability company. What you record in it is personal and often intimate, so this policy explains plainly what data we handle, why, and what you can do about it.

1. Information we collect
Account. Your email address and name, and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares with the app.
Profile, optional. Display name, short bio, motto, country, date of birth and photo, if you choose to add them; your reminder time, time zone and language.
What you record in the app. Your challenges and rules; the plan for your path, including the struggles you describe and who you want to become; your daily check-ins and examens (whether you kept your rule, notes, what you are grateful for, your inner pulse of consolation or desolation, your energy and your resolution for tomorrow); your daily planner blocks; the practices you register, such as Mass, the Rosary or a novena; and the intention or "knot" you entrust in the Undoer of Knots novena.
Voice. If you use dictation, the audio of what you say is recorded on your device and uploaded as a private file, with no public link, so it can be transcribed. The transcribed text is what is saved with your content; the audio is used only for the transcription (see section 6).
Notifications. If you enable reminders, a technical identifier of your browser or device for push notifications.
Technical data. Like any web service, our providers process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and access logs, needed to operate and protect the service.
Sensitive information. Much of what you record in Pharus reveals your religious beliefs and aspects of your inner life, and some laws treat this as sensitive data. We process it only because you enter it, and only to provide the service to you: we never sell it, never use it for advertising and never use it to build profiles for third parties. You can delete it whenever you want.
2. How we use your information
We use your data only to:
- Provide the service: show your challenge, save your examen and calculate your progress and statistics.
- Generate with AI the proposals, transcriptions and observations you request (see section 3).
- Send you the reminders and emails you have enabled, such as the nightly reminder or the end-of-week summary.
- Keep the service secure, fix errors and answer you when you write to us.
We do not use your content to train artificial intelligence models, we do not show advertising and we do not sell or rent your data.
3. Third-party services we use
These are the services that process data on our behalf, and what each one receives:
- Base44 — hosting of the app, database, authentication, file storage, and delivery of the app's emails and AI requests. Base44 relies on infrastructure providers such as Render and Cloudflare. Privacy policy.
- AI providers, through Base44, including Google (Gemini). They receive the text you write or the audio you dictate for AI features, and the summarized data needed for observations about your progress, only to generate the response. Google privacy policy.
- Google — sign-in, if you choose to sign in with Google. Privacy policy.
- Twilio SendGrid — delivery of the emails the app sends you, on behalf of Base44. It receives your email address and the content of the email. Privacy policy.
- Push notification services of your browser or operating system (Apple, Google or Mozilla) — they deliver the reminders you enable and receive your device identifier and the notification. Apple · Google · Mozilla.
- Google Workspace — if you write to pharus@micagostore.com, your message is received in our Google mailbox. Privacy policy.
To show the daily readings, the app consults Evangelizo and the website of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Those requests include only the date and the language, never any of your data.
4. Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent or trade your data. We share it only with the providers in section 3, to the extent necessary to provide the service, and when the law requires it, for example under a valid court order.
If Mica Go Store LLC were involved in a merger or acquisition, your data could be transferred as part of it; we would notify you beforehand, and this policy would continue to apply to it.
Your challenges, examens and intentions are private: other users cannot see them, and the database restricts access to each record to the person who created it.
5. Cookies and tracking
We have not added advertising cookies, third-party trackers or analytics services to Pharus.
The app does store information on your device in order to work: your session, your language and preferences, and a copy of the app and of the day's readings so you can use it without a connection. You can remove it by signing out and clearing your browser's data.
6. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete it from Profile → Privacy, it is removed from the database; copies may remain in our provider's backups for a limited time until they are overwritten.
Voice recordings are stored as private files: they have no public link, only the app can access them, and they are not used for anything other than the transcription. Our hosting platform does not yet allow us to delete these files automatically, so they are not removed when you delete your data; we will delete them as soon as the platform allows it.
To delete your account completely, write to pharus@micagostore.com from the email address you use in the app.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, obtain a copy of it and withdraw your consent to its processing. You can exercise these rights as follows:
- Correct or delete your profile and your content directly in the app.
- Delete all your data from Profile → Privacy.
- Get a copy, delete your account or make any other request by writing to pharus@micagostore.com.
- Turn off reminders from your Profile or in your browser settings. To stop receiving the app's emails, write to us.
We respond within 45 days. If we deny a request, you can ask us to reconsider it by replying to our answer, and if you are not satisfied, you can contact the data protection or consumer protection authority of your state or country. We will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.
8. Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), access to each record is restricted to its owner, and only the minimum necessary people can access the systems, for support or maintenance. No system is completely secure; if a security incident affected your data, we would notify you as required by law.
9. International transfers
Pharus and its providers operate mainly in the United States. If you use it from another country, your data will be processed there, where the laws may differ from those of your country. By using the service, you understand that this transfer is necessary to provide it.
10. Children's privacy
Pharus is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has created an account without permission, write to us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date above indicates the latest version; if the change is significant, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
